If you’re looking out for the sun, we have it. You want the rain? We have it. You want the cold climes of the hills? We have that too. And the scenery is spectacular. Travel itinerary would include all of it, or just what you want. All within this limited area we call the pearl of the east. More so just within an area of 65,610 square kilometers. That’s small; but not that small not to provoke you really letting your hair down.
If culture and ancient history of Sri Lanka is what you want. Straight off we’d say you would be saturated in the subject that you may not want to leave. Spot on. We’d invite you to stay a while longer. If you want to throw all that away and enjoy the sun, the beaches, and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, and attain a rich tan that only our warm climes would give, then you’ve come to the right place. Sri Lanka is its name.
Bentota, Hikkaduwa, Arugam Bay, Kuchchaveli bay, Trincomalee, Hambamtota, Galle, Baticaloa, Negombo, Pasecuda, Mount Lavinia beach. These are some of the exotic names you would encounter if all you want is the sun and sea and beach. Kuchchveli is a secluded bay. You want some privacy? Head for Kuchchveli.
Arugam bay is the world’s best surfing site. Don’t take our word for it, but go there. You’d experience firsthand what the crashing surf of Arugam bay has to offer.
WILD LIFE AND NATURE
Game parks abound with wild life, from the majestic Elephant, to the Leopard, and Sloth bear; safari travels will ensure, if you are lucky, that is, you watch a leopard devour her kill and anchor the carcass up a tree. National parks, Yala, located South Sri Lanka, Kumana is a bird sanctuary, and these parks are just two. There are many more.
KAYAKING AND TEA TRAILS
Kayaking down the Kelani ganga (river) from Kitulgala, to Yatiyantota is an experience not to be missed.And those picturesque tea trails. Here you will have the chill of the hills and live in colonial style Bungalows in complete tranquility, complete with cooks, and valets, and a localized version of butler, to satisfy your every need. If it is monsoon season the atmosphere gets so cold that, believe it or not, you would have to have the fire place lit with real firewood.
You will also have the old colonial life style of those planters explained by a planter who will be on hand to take you trekking up tea trails. Take you camera with you. Walk round those hills. You would never see stunning natural beauty such as we have to offer, anywhere else in the world. Yes, in the world. We are not making a mistake telling you something as bold as that.
