From October 05, 2012 to October 07, 2012 is when the Breckenridge Craft Spirits Festival lures Colorado’s finest distillers to town for an unrivaled tasting showcase of handcrafted spirits at the Breckenridge Craft Spirits: 3rd Annual Still on the Hill Festival.
Paired with restaurant specials, saloon tours and hangover brunches, this annual celebration – the first of its kind in the state, goes down smooth and only gets better with time.
The Winter Series 2012-2013 features an opening concert “From Bach to the Beatles” on October 28, 2012, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The Breckenridge Music Festival in partnership with Summit Music and Arts at Lord of the Mountains presents this concert.
The concert, ‘From Bach to the Beatles,’ will include programming for choir from the incomparable sacred music of J. S. Bach to music of the Beatles, and some exceptional choral composers in between.
The performance will be under the direction of Dr. Linda Shea, Director of Instrumental Music of the Summit High School music department, and will feature keyboardist Leonard Rhodes on organ, piano and harpsichord.
On October 31, 2012, Celebrate Halloween with John Brown’s Body & special guests at three20south at 320 South Main St. John Brown’s Body’s “Future Roots” uses reggae as a foundation, but incorporates dub, drum & bass, dancehall, hip hop and other musical explorations to create a sound both timeless and forward.
People are buzzing about this progressive group from Boston and Ithaca, NY. The eight-piece band’s explosive live show boasts super heavy rhythms, a three-piece horn section, air-tight drum and bass, and “the most gorgeous melodies in all of modern reggae music” (All Music Guide).
In 2008, JBB’s album Amplify topped Billboard’s Reggae chart, debuting at #1. The band’s latest work, JBB IN DUB EP, is the first completely new release in four years. They are not to be missed!
