Getting Started On Tweet Travelers

Tweet Travelers travel social network is a unique network of travel experts with travel related companies.  Tweet Travelers goal is to be highly active across social Media channels - Pinterest, Google +, Twitter, Facebook, Blogs and Mobile Social channels.  In the Tweet Travelers professional network our goal is to help travel companies grow their personal brand and we want travelers to discover new and exciting destinations.  Tweet Travelers was founded in 2010 by Teri Morin.  

Please use your full, real name or your if you are a business please add your business name . This makes our "social" network that much more social. (Click Settings.)

Once your page is set up, all of your blog post will automatically go to our Twitter Page @TweetTravelers with a hashtag.  We will also randomly select post for our Facebook page.  Tweet Travelers is also on Pinterest and will randomly "PIN" great travel photos.   So please add lots of GREAT travel photos!

Add a photo to your profile so that other professionals can get to know you. (Click My Page.)

Customize your profile. Use the Text Box widget to tell us a bit about yourself. (Click My Page.)

View the Members page and send some friend requests to those you know, or wish to know. That way you can send and receive direct messages from those friends and control access to the content you post. (Click Members.)

Use the Invite features to bring your travel friends to the community. (Click Invite.)

SEO HINT:  POST PHOTOS!  Post great photos to your photo gallery and add great photos to your Blog.  We "PIN" great photos to Pinterest and share on other networks!

Give us a status update; Give us updates on your travels or where you would like to travel (Click My Page.)

Start a new discussion or comment on an existing discussion. Got an travel question?  Ask other travelers about travel destinations or travel topics (Click Forum.)

Share your travels in a blog post, so the community can give you feedback. You can use the privacy features at the bottom of the editing page to control who can see or comment on your post. (Click Blogs.)

Start a group.  Are you expert in your field or passionate about a travel destination?  Start a group and connect with others that share your passions.

Track forum discussions and blog posts via RSS. The Blogs and Forums pages have individual feeds, so you can keep track of them when you are logged out of the community. (Click Blogs or Forums and scroll to the RSS icon at the bottom of the page.)

Add Your RSS Feed - If you have a blog outside of Tweet Travelers, you can promote it here. In the left column of your profile page, click Add RSS.

Member Map -  Make sure you add yourself to the member map.  It will also spotlight your travel page!

YOU can also add your RSS feed if you have a travel blog.  Right now we can only feature blogs that are added into your blog post from your MY PAGE but your RSS Feed of your blog can be on your page!  

And, finally Add friends and Share your travels.  Right now we have a very dynamic group of passionate travelers and experts in the field of travel.  You can virtually learn about every country from our powerful travel network.  

We want to help expand your network!

Tweet Travelers Facebook and Twitter Page-  All approved members blog post will also automatically go to Tweet Travelers Facebook and Twitter Page so please keep blog post travel related and share your travels with us and others.

Google +1 is here

Help spread the word about Tweet Travelers by clicking the Google +1 icon on upper left page of each forum posts, blogs, and events. Your +1's will help friends, contacts, and others find the best content here when they search.

Things "NOT" To Do On Tweet Travelers - DO NOT Spam!  Our members only want to talk travel and hear about interesting travel destinations, etc.  We created a "Rental Listings" page if you would like to place a promotion but it has to be travel related as we are a travel community!  Spammers will be immediately deleted from our network!!

ADD YOUR BADGE "VIP Traveler Badge" to your website.  You should have a coded embed code on your "MY PAGE" link that you can embed into your website.  We suggest to embed this into your website where others can connect to your Tweet Travelers page.

Add a  " Rental Listing"-  If you would like extra Social "Buzz" and advertising in our NEW "Social" classified travel listing area you can add your vacation rental or travel and tourism FREE.  If you would like to feature your listing on the home page is is an additional $300.00 per year
